Alexis Clements, MFA
Alexis Clements is a photographer located in Carlsbad, New Mexico who specializes in documentary, portrait, and fine art photography. Her work examines the intersection of text and imagery, exploring how geographic locales mythologize personal narratives and memories. She writes essays and gives public lectures on photography and its history.
Her self-published autobiographical book, Last in the Woods, has been exhibited at the Fall Line 50 in Atlanta, GA, Photo Independent Art Fair in Los Angeles, CA, and Photobook Athens in Greece. 
Alexis is currently Assistant Professor of Film & Digital Media at Southeast New Mexico College. She is available for freelance and commissioned photographic, media, or design work, community education workshops, and fine art printing services.
